· The Associate TSE will be responsible to provide timely solutions to Brocade customers and partners in a professional manner.
· Provide remote technical support to Brocades partners and customers on current and future Brocade products.
· Understand, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve Brocade partner and customer issues.
· Define and manage problem resolution plans and communicate closure/resolution to Brocade partners and customers.
· Record, update and manage all assigned service requests leveraging Brocades CRM.· Identify known issues, hardware, and software problems leveraging the Brocade CRM. · Adhere to Brocades documented escalation guidelines.
· Effectively manage many different tasks simultaneously.
· Travel occasionally to customer sites to perform problem resolution and installation activities.
Education level: · Bachelors degree in a technical field, MCSE, or equivalent experience in a software/support environment.
· Masters in Computer Science is a plus.
· Work Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a technical support environment.
Certifications/Accreditations: · Minimum of or obtain BCFP (Required within 6 months of employment) Key competencies · Communication skills: Excellent written, verbal skills and listening skills.
Foreign language fluency is a plus.
· Technical skills & Knowledge: Basic experience in supporting the following technologies; Fiber Channel, FC-IP, Ficon, SCSI, Hubs, Routers, TCP/IP, IP addressing, Unix, NT, open systems protocols, and storage management.
· Other Abilities required: Must have very strong customer and intrapersonal skills.
Work Schedule: Able to be flexible for shift rotation including 2nd, 3rd, and weekends and on-call work as required.
