Associate Director Purchasing Job in New York , New York US
Job Description
1. Plans and organizes daily activity of the staff.
2. Develops goals and objectives.
3. Assign workload to team.
Evaluates & documents team performance.
4. Acts as resource to all team members.
5. Develops and implements cost savings strategies for the team.
6. Determines priorities and adheres to priorities in effective time utilization.
7. Defines the expected outcome, objectives of assignment, and time of completion clearly to the team.
8. Works with team to coordinate bids and negotiations of purchase
9. Encourages open communication and verbalization of opinions among team in attempt to identify and solve team issues.
10. Provide leadership to the group and develops this in other members of the team.
11. Negotiates with potential suppliers in order to select a vendor, evaluates the proposals and negotiates the contractual terms of the agreement in order to award the contract.
12. Cooperates and communicates in an effective, professional manner with supervisor, management, peers and all MSH personnel.
13. Presents new and innovative ideas clearly and effectively.
14. Create atmosphere of mutual and productive problem solving.
15. Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting to change.
16. Establishes rapport built on trust and mutual support.
17. Displays initiative through independent thinking and suggestions for positive change.
Job Qualifications: Bachelo's Degree.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a similar position.
