Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager, North America Job in Englewood Cliffs 07632, New Jersey US
We are currently seeking an Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager, North America.
This position will be based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for identifying strategic cost innovation opportunities and lead cross-functional business function teams to achieve optimal total cost of ownership for general procurement spent across North America.
Additionally, the Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the use of a standard sourcing process and documentation, assisting business function teams with supplier performance management, developing and managing strategic sourcing policies and procedures.
Responsibilities to include: Develop general procurement sourcing strategiesAssess internal general procurement spend, categories, goals, and constraintsAnalyze supply markets, suppliers, industry cost profiles, cost drivers, market trends, benchmark pricing, and market forcesUnderstand costs by developing total cost of ownership, should cost, and price discipline models Develop cost management strategies, sourcing options & methodsStrategically source general procurement goods & servicesDevelop sourcing packages, selection criteria, requests for information & quotationEstablish initial supplier poolManage sourcing process, execute & evaluate supplier responses, select suppliers, document decisions, negotiate & award contractsManage general procurement & contract activityDevelop contract management process & responsibilitiesMeasure supplier performance, manage pricing discipline, continuously improve internal & external processes, track & reduce costs, finalize & close supply agreements, and document lessons learned Qualifications: Bachelors degreePrevious Marketing, Logistics or Services procurement experience desiredProficiency in MS Office Applications
