Assistant Plant Manager - Plant/Gas Turbine/OSHA 110-120 K/yr Job in New York 10003, New York US
Assistant Plant Manager with Power Generating experience is needed in central NY.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring site compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, standards and company policies involving environmental, health, safety and security regulations; for the reduction of risks associated with energy production; with focus on environmental sustainability, general safety, environmental safety, industrial hygiene and the maintenance of OSHA VPP certificationAssists the Plant Manager in operating the two facilities,which includes assisting the operations, maintenance and financial departments, and filling in for the Plant Manager during absencesResponsible for hazardous waste/materials management including storage, shipping, record keeping, data reporting, and emergency responseRequirementsMust have a BS degree in mechanical, chemical or environmental engineering, physical sciences, industrial hygiene, or other engineering disciplineMS in Engineering, PE license or MBA preferred, but not required10-15 years of power plant experience, ideally GE Frame 5 equipment or gas turbine equipment, including 4 years in an environmental, health and safety positionDemonstrated knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.).
