Our brands include Duncan Hines, Aunt Jemima, Lenders Bagels and Vlasic just to name a few.SCOPE OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Graphic Design Director, assist with all functions in support of corporate brands packaging and graphics development, from initial design through print production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.

Packaging projects include brand redesigns, new item launches, line extensions and packaging updates/maintenance.


Assist in managing package design projects from creative brief through final production artwork, ensuring accurate communication of all elements such as die lines and required label copy.


Assess package design projects and work with internal marketing teams and external design agencies to clearly communicate and ensure quality packing is delivered in a timely manner and within determined budget guidelines.


Present design ideas to marketing and executive team and gain approvals.


Manage and maintain corporate brand packaging budgets, meet with Finance teams on a regular basis, and report monthly figures to upper management.


Responsible for photography, color standards, press approvals and quality management throughout design process.


Works directly with separators and print vendors to ensure accuracy and timelines, packaging proofs, and printed samples.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :None.

EDUCATION:
BA degree, Graphic Design preferredEXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2-3 years professional experience within packaging/consumer products industry required.


Experience and in-depth knowledge of color management, pre-press and print production preferred.


Relevant food photography experience a plus.

SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Mac/PC platform), proficient in Microsoft Office.


Knowledge of pre-press and print production.


Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful professional with extensive experience and understanding of packaging development and print production.


Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize under pressure and within tight budget constraints.
