Itron seeks highly motivated Application Engineers with a solid mix of a technical/engineering background with a marketing interest to provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of Itrons hardware/firmware systems.
Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.

Duties & Responsibilities1.
Provide technical support for designated hardware and firmware systems2 Provide technical response for requests for quotations3 Conduct pre sales product presentations4 Provide product specific training5 Create and update necessary technical literature, Application papers and Application Specific Training6 Provide competitive product and system analysis and Market Research7 Assist in product development and internal firmware testing8 Travel as needed to assist Sales force, domestically and internationally.
Experience: Requires 1 year experience in communication networks, wireless networks or IP networks and additional experience in ZigBee, mesh networks and concepts of hardware/firmware systems would be a plus.
