Applications Engineer Job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania US
Applications Engineer Strong global company is seeking an Applications Engineer to support clients in the Northeast.
This would be a home-based position, preferably in the Northeast region.
BASIC FUNCTIONSupports the development and deployment of new products and services.
Coordinates special projects using new and existing equipment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES1.
Responsible for the design, development and fabrication of special equipment2 Supports field applications by serving in a technical advisory capacity ensuring that jobs are completed within corporate guidelines at minimal delay and cost and with maximum safety3 Review Field Service Bulletins and identify product, process and training improvements4 Coordinate with the training group to provide technical support5 Assists in the preparation of quotes to ensure practicality and profitability6 Remains current on new developments, policies and procedures relating to the stage-gate process, equipment and operational/maintenance techniques and implements changes as necessary7 Ensures compliance with established quality control/assurance procedures while performing all the HT&P related processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED1.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience2 Minimum ten (10) years mechanical engineering experience in high pressure and/or temperature piping equipment3 Good communication skills (both oral and written)4 Travel may be up to 20%5.
Advanced education/certification status (eg PE) a plus, but not required
