Application Support Engineer Job in Chicago, Illinois US
Our client offers personalized gifting solutions to leading national retailers.
They se patented technology to create elegant yet simple, personalized greeting cards, gift cards and greeting gift cards as well as co-branded greeting card programs and direct to consumer fulfillment services that are all integrated to work with a retailer's existing processes.
We are focused on enabling its clients to make the communications between gift senders and gift recipients more relevant.
Our client is looking for a Support Engineer to work in our client's Application Support Department.
The successful candidate will join a small team that provides second-tier support for their gift and greeting card consumers as well as a prominent client base.
They are looking for a motivated self-starter that will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment; working with many of the world's top 100 eCommerce sites.
Responsibilities Include: Diagnose and correct problems with customer orders and issues by examining the order database and application log files and operating various support and monitoring toolsWork closely with Customer Service agents to resolve customer problems quickly and correctlyDocument remedies to any recurring problems in the Support WikiQualifications Include: Strong knowledge of SQL (primarily SELECT, INSERT, and UPDATE) using Microsoft SQL ServerFamiliarity with Web and browser technology, HTML, XML, Web Services, and FTPWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong technical problem solving skillsExperience in a software development environment is a plus
