Application Project Specialist Job in New York, New York US
Job Title Application Project Specialist Department INDIVIDUAL ANNUITY DEPARTMENT Job Location NY - NYC Home Office Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities Work closely with developers, testers, relationship managers and outside firms involved with annuity sales using e-business technologies.
Coordinate the tracking, testing and implementation of e-business code deliveries for two administration systems.
Run administration system batch cycles and facilitate the testing and implementation process for e-business initiatives.
Support the e-business portions of production batch cycles for two administration systems.
Troubleshoot production issues reported by customers both independently and with vendor assistance.
Develop various forms on two e-business platforms.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with Annuity Net and/or Affirm e-business platforms.
Experience with App/Sub, POV, PVF, PFF, PNF, COM, FAR, IFT, MSD & Pricing NSCC files.
Experience with Ebix Exchange, Blue Frog, Acord, DTCC and other e-business entities.
At least 4 years experience developing client server and/or .net applications.
Experience with all aspects of full project life cycle development.
Experience with XML. Must work both independently and as part of a team.
Willing to provide on-call application support during off hours.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Qualifications Experience in financial services, annuities, VB.net, MS SQL 2000, COBOL, MVS/TSO, Oracle, stored procedures, views, triggers, PL/SQL and Crystal Reports are a plus.
