Application Development Technical Specialist Job in Jersey City, New Jersey US
Our client, located in Jersey City, is seeking a Technical Specialist.
The Technical Specialist will be responsible for working with a globally distributed software development team assembled from both employees and vendors.
This person will work on a Premier Global Corporate internet-based Cash Management System and must have a background in working within a large development organization.
Primary Responsibilities: Develop and enhance .NET applications which are accessed via client's corporate banking PortalIntegration of components being developed by subsystem teams and ensuring that the system runs as whole in accordance with specificationsHands-on UI developer with strong debugging and problem analysis skills and will be a key member of the teamDefine/Review development planning and requirements.
Review designs/code to ensure quality of deliveryDevelop software as per coding standards for PhoenixDefine and ensure adherence to quality standards for the software organization.
Interact with the testers, development team and other stakeholders and partnersProvide coordination for all special (post-production validation, etc.) testing activitiesTechnical Skills / Requirements: Experience with development using.
NET technologies and Web ServicesASP.
NET, C#, SQL Server, .NET CLR, AJAX, JQuery-based and Telerik Controls, etcKnowledge of Java and WebSphere is a huge plusMust possess 8+ years as a developerProvide global guidance to off-shore development teamsCapable of designing technical solutions based on FRDs and ad-hoc Business RequestsAbility to support UAT and/or client test teamsBanking or financial knowledge is a plusExperience in developing SOA application is a plusKnowledge of CMM/CMMI or other process improvement methodologies a plusInterpersonal and Leadership Competencies: Works well and respects other disciplines of the project teamsStrong negotiation and influence skillsAbility to manage risk appropriatelyAbility to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environmentExcellent technical written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and projects so that deadlines are metAbility to work on multiple deliverables at once and appropriately managing one's timeOther Experience: Candidate must also possess College degree in a either Business or Technology fieldA Bachelor of Science or Arts in an engineering or computer science field preferred
