Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic - Industrial Job in Norcross 30071, Georgia US

Maintain, repair, overhaul, modify and perform operational tests on all types of manufacturing equipment, plant facilities and vacuum systems, providing for the cooling, evacuating, filtering, heating, humidifying and pressurizing of atmospheric air and other gasses or liquids.  Includes diagnosing both mechanical and/or electrical difficulties, the testing, maintenance, adjustment and replacement of gage, recorder, regulator and similar control units.  Maintain, modify or repair electronic controls, microprocessors or similar electronic instruments, meters, terminal connections, time delay relays, safety interlocks, circuit breakers, and pressure switches.  Replace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses and electrical wiring to repair units.  Perform necessary associated mechanical, electrical and related duties.  Completion of an accredited trades HVAC school or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired by means of practical experience.  Commercial/Industrial HVAC experience is required.  Must possess experience with 480v power distribution systems and 24v or digital control circuits.  Must be adept and efficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and maintenance of the following equipment.  Rooftop units, split systems, central plants, polyphase motors, centrifugal and fan-cooled chillers, boiler and hot water systems, pneumatics, refrigeration circuits, environmental chambers, compressors and pumps.  EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.  Experience with brazing/welding practices, clean room HVAC systems, humidification systems, Johnson Controls Metasys building and equipment control systems and air balancing.  Act as a member of Emergency Response Team and Confined Space Rescue.
