Accounts Payable Assistant Job in Alpharetta 30022, Georgia US
Description: Kaplan is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant who is responsible for monitoring and processing payables timely and efficiently.
The Accounts Payable Assistant ensures that the financial data is recorded accurately.
Responsibilities: - Work directly with 8-10 locations to ensure AP is processed timely and effectively.
- Review and upload invoices, expense reports, student living expenses and lender refunds electronically through the Image Now system.
- Handle daily calls and emails from Bookkeepers, Business Office Managers and Directors from assigned locations.
- Take part in two check runs per week.
The check runs are assigned to each AP Assist.
on a rotating basis.
- Maintain Excel Spreadsheet for check run totals.
- Detailed audit of Expense Reimbursement requests from employees.
- Detailed audit of Petty Cash Reimbursmement requests from each assigned school.
- Receive and complete void request process for void check and stop payments.
- Function as a back-up for other AP Assistants.
- Process payment request from Financial Aid Department to Lender Refunds.
Quick payment processing is critical.
- Process all telecommunication invoices through the Billport System.
- Reviews and exports invoices into our Accounting system weekly for payment processing.
- Approve and send all advertising invoices for process for payment.
- Process all Online student living expense requests through the Campus Vue System.
Qualifications: Requirements: - 5 + years experience and/or training in Accounts Payable- Must have a High school diploma or GED- Accounting background is preferred- Must have superior experience in Microsoft Outlook, Oracle, and Image Now - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially skilled in Excel - Ability to learn quickly and good overall computer skillsKaplan is an equal opportunity employer.
