Accounting Manager Job in short hills 07078, New Jersey US
Our client, a growing and very successful media firm withoffices located throughout the US, is looking for an Accounting Manager fortheir New Jersey office.
The person selected for this position will be groomedfor a Director of Finance role down the road.
The Accounting Manager willsupervise a small staff of accountants and will be responsible for all day today accounting functions including monthly closings, reporting, accountspayable and receivable as well as overseeing client billings.
This positionwill have extensive interaction with the Director of Operations in forecastingclient project costs and estimates as well as making sure that costs are being allocatedand billed in accordance with contract terms.
Requirements: Degree in Accounting or Finance.
5-7 years hands on general accounting experience fromanother media company (advertising, corporate communications, public relations,etc).
MUST have experience in a Time & Billingenvironment.
There is no flexibility on this requirement.At least 2 years supervisory experience over operationalaccounting areas (A/P, A/R, Billing, etc).
Experience with software packages similar to Solomon, GreatPlains, Elite, etc (time & billing modules).
Prior experience in public accounting or a CPA is a plus.
