Accounting Manager Job in Chicago 60624, Illinois US
Our client, located on the west side of Chicago seeks a hands on Accounting Manager with strong organizational and communiation skills.
Must have QuickBooks experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the day to day accounting processes, perparing monthly f/s and related analysis along with other essentional functions of this position.

Will direct and manage accouting and office staff and ensure business practices and process are established and adhered to. Participates as a support member to provide information to upper level management.
Essential functions of this position require the individual to be familiar with accounting operations and have the capability to solve and resolve problems.
BASIC FUNCTIONS: Administers and maintains company accounting records.
Prepares monthly financial statements and related analysis.
Handles daily financial matters, including monitoring bank balances and lines of credit.
Ensures accounts payable and installments are disbursed on a timely basis.
Oversees preparation of monthly billing.
Reconciles monthly bank statements.
Implements and directs credit and collection process.
Responsible for tax compliance with federal and state corporate, payroll, sales and other applicable taxes.
Oversees payroll and related tax return preparation.
Manages and distributes workload to accounting staff.
Maintains the updating and usage of all financial software packages and programs.
Analyzes and recommends insurance coverage, including health and welfare plans and business insurance.
Administers 401K plan.
Manages general office procedures.
Ensures coverage for all functions.
Maintains relationship with outside auditors, attorneys, consultants and insurance brokers.
