Accounting Manager-Banking Job in Chicago 60606, Illinois US
Our client, a Private Bank, is currently seeking an Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities: · Oversee legal entity month end close process for 7 legal entities, including variance analysis and detailed review of balance sheets and income statements· Produce timely and accurate financial statements for both legal entity and line of business reporting purposes· Management responsibility for one staff accountant· Oversee monthly preparation of general ledger reconciliations · Responsible for Regulatory Reporting, including Call Reports and Y9 schedules· Identify ways to streamline processes and improve work group efficiency· Proactively address issues as they arise and follow-through until issues are resolved.
· Build rapport with employees across other lines of business and/or various office locations· Communicate important issues/problems to management in a timely manner· Responsible for ensuring compliance with Bank policies and proceduresRequirements: · CPA required· Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required· Recent Experience working in an accounting/finance function in banking· 6+ years of experience· Working knowledge of GAAP· Familiar with banking industry· Excellent communication skills· Excel, Word, Outlook, Peoplesoft, General LedgerQualified candidates please email your resume in word doc format to lglick [at] fss-staffing [dot] com .
