Accounting Analyst Job in Chicago, Illinois US
A leader in the Information Services industry in Chicago, IL is in search of an intermediate Accounting Analyst to join their organization.
The qualified candidate is primarily responsible for preparing, analyzing, and disseminating financial information for specific divisions within the organization.
Responsibilities: Assist with the monthly closing process.
Ensure that data is recorded and reported timely and correctly within financial or reporting systems.
Prepare and analyse financial information such as monthly balance sheet, income statement and reports changes in financial position/budget variances.
May analyze and coordinate the preparation of budgets for review by management and incorporate them as a measurement tool for business operations.
Reconcile and/or review applicable balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis clearing all variance in a timely manner.
Provide consultative feedback on financial information to the business units.
Review processes and make recommendations and improvements.
Prepare other reports and assist in special projects as required and requested by supervisor.
Supervise an internal staff when required.
This includes conducting performance appraisals, training and career development.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting3 - 4 years of GAAP accounting experienceInternational experience strongly preferredConsolidation experience is required, and language skills (Spanish) a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Incumbents must demonstrate understanding of fundamental accounting principles and must be able to apply them correctly.
Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as individually.
Must have strong organizational skills.
