PEERs world headquarters are located in Waukegan, Illinois.
The Accounting/Payroll Specialist will work to provide accurate and confidential payroll for weekly and bi-weekly, union and non-union, exempt and non-exempt employees in a timely and professional manner.
This position would be responsible for working with different aspects of PEERs Accounting department.
As such, the ideal candidate would have experience working with A/P, A/R, and financial statements.
The Accounting/Payroll Specialist must be thorough, extremely organized, and well versed in accounting and payroll laws and practices.
The Accounting/Payroll Specialist interacts with all PEER Departments and must be able to juggle the challenges of a varied work load that would include both accounting functions and payroll processing.
The ideal candidate must have experience with maintaining the strictest confidentiality on a variety of matters.

Requirements: · Two to four years experience in accounting and processing payroll.
· Strong knowledge and experience with Paychex payroll and Kronos time-keeping systems.
· Intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office, especially Excel· Must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills.
· High School diploma or equivalent, some college course work preferred but not required.
· Professional certification is a plus.
