Accountant II Financial Reporting Job in Dallas 75389, Texas US
WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT: - Assists in preparing internal and external financial statements and analytical reports.
- Performs special projects.
- Operates personal computer utilizing word processing, spreadsheets and other mainframe application software.
- Demonstrates initiative and personally handles problems and questions.
- Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.
Minimum RequirementsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age. - Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
EDUCATION: - BBA in accounting, Certified Public Accountant preferred.
EXPERIENCE: - Three or more years accounting experience required, with some public accounting experience preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE: - Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
- Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team.
- Must possess good PC skills and have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Must possess basic mainframe computer understanding and be able to utilize general ledger system.
- Must operate 10-key.
- Must have good judgment sufficient to handle and resolve issues related to accounting and policy matters.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with internal customers, both face to face and through written communications.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under stressful situations.
- Must demonstrate and maintain high regard for confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrates initiative and personally handles questions and requests for information.
- Must demonstrate basic leadership skills.
- Mental capacity to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand office procedures.
- Must be able to perform mathematical computations.
- Must be able to successfully complete the evaluation period.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: - Availability to work overtime and ability to meet deadlines successfully, at times with frequent interruptions.
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance.
