Account Manager Job in San Marcos 92078, California US
SUMMARY: Interact with established customers within a defined geographic region with the goal of increasing their sales through on site technical support.
Work synergistically with internal sales and engineering teams to achieve all customer design targets and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES: · Day-to-day coordination of business issues relating to the customer.
· Work with Laird engineers to develop custom products for specific customer needs.
· Utilize all product offerings, providing insightful and detailed design solutions.
· Communicate with all internal departments related to fulfilling customer requirements.
· Regularly attend customer design review meetings and provide technical design support for PBU solutions.
· Keep in close contact with representatives from customers to determine needs in order to expand sales.
· Maintain accurate and up to date records and files on all accounts including sales,data, engineering requirements and customer contacts.
· Drive prototype, tool build, and initial production build to meet customer timelines.
· Attend sales meetings and conferences.
· Manage and evaluate performance of assigned Sales personnel and/or channel partners, if necessary.
· Develop goals and objectives in accordance with company goals and objectives.
· Travel as needed for communication and interaction with customers regarding status of orders, new orders and problem solving.
· Represent Laird within industry.
· Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
· Coordinate activities with customer service teams to maximize our ability to close on new business opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS: · Knowledge of Windows applications and use in customer-facing environment· Exhibit understanding of the cross-functional relationships between inter-company groups and the expertise required to take a product through development and on to production.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral· Must be fluent in English, other languages preferred depending on assigned area.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to travel frequently.
· Valid passport.
· Valid drivers license and good driving record.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · 2+ years experience in a similar position.
· 1+ years experience in Telematics or wireless communications.
· 1+ years experience in product engineering and/or product manufacturing· Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
