AVP- Project Manager Job in New York, New York US
Our client is seeking an outstanding Project Manager / Business Analyst.
In this very visible, fast track role, you will build partnerships with the various regional operations and middle office teams, leveraging the analyst's expertise and business experience.
Main Duties: Create business requirements, functional specifications, project plans, test plans and implementation.
Assist businesses in doing detail analysis of processes and workflows.
Devise feasible solutions for complex business problems using insight and creativity in evaluating alternatives to gain greater efficiencies.
Coordinate activities across multiple departments including Middle Office, Operations, and Technology.
Monitor projects from initiation through delivery and organize interdepartmental or cross- functional team meetings ensuring completion of projects on schedule.
Perform in capacity of Project Lead for cross-functional and regional implementations.
Qualifications: 4-7 years of operations, technology, and financial experience and experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager involving both internal and external client interaction.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to build consensus and influence amongst various groups.
History of success working in a team environment.The ability to work within a geographically disperse team environment.
Strong and well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.The role will be responsible for ensuring clear and concise non-technical business requirements documents.
Good understanding of technology(the benefits and pitfalls with technology project concepts (eg UAT testing, Prototyping) and experience of interfacing directly with technology development staff.
Prior experience in business process design, workflow analysis and documentation, project tracking and reporting is required.
Knowledge of OTC Derivatives and platforms preferred.
Strong knowledge of Visio or similar charting tool, PowerPoint, MS Office, MS Project is required.
