We're so much more than just a phone company!The Technical Consultant 2, as part of the sales team, provides technical sales support to assure successful customer integration and implementation of established company products.
Participates in joint sales call with the sales team.
Responsible for consulting with customers, selling and supporting company products and systems.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
Supports unit sales plan through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities.
Provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installation and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications.
Provides answers to customer inquires concerning system software and applications and provides software development and consultation to prospective users.
Understands, develops and delivers systems/applications solutions to customers' business, information, technical and educational needs.
Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situation or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
Incumbents have a full, working knowledge of assigned company products and services.
Assignment may be at customer site, remote response center, corporate location or other site.
May build a mini-application, based on customer requirements, to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping.
Works independently with minimum supervision/guidance.
Typically reports to a Second Level Manager.
This is position is NOT on sales compensation.
Additional Responsibilities: Wireless data connectivity order managementWorking directly with the customers on testing wireless data connection builds in their environmentCustomer wireless data deployments and soak period supportTroubleshooting and issue resolution on wireless data connectivity/device issues.
Work with internal and external customers to provide necessary assistance in feasibility studies; proof of concept testing; prioritization and development processes of mobility applicationsSupervisory: NO Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Experience in the wireless industryKnowledge of wireless products and servicesExperience providing technical sales supportExcellent communication skillsCustomer facing experienceDESIRED: Prefers BS or equivalent and 3-5 years engineering and/or sales experience.
