Requirements: Primary duties and responsibilities: -Workflow study and analysis of business practices: Understand and document business requirements and existing processes as they relate to information technology solutions.
-Application development: Design and document new applications, application enhancements, and bug fixes.
Evaluate vendor software.
Code, test, debug, document, and implement software applications.
-Project management for technological and business solutions: Make recommendations for hardware/software requirements.
Manage software vendors and external service providers.
Assist in monitoring project schedules and taking corrective action to stay on schedule.
Cultivate and foster customer service relationships.
-Provide support: Create documents and schedules and support operational activities, including database backups and recoveries.
Provide support for databases, including maintenance and assurance of database integrity.
Provide off-hours support.
-Leadership: Ensure adherence to departmental standards.
Act as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less-experienced staff.
Preferred: Undergraduate degree and prior experience in a higher education technology environment preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Reporting Services and AJAX.
