Portfolio Executive, Custom Contracting - VHA Supply Networks Location: Novation, Corporate Headquarters - Irving, TX Job Summary Become part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team supporting contracting and implementation efforts for major VHA member healthcare systems supported by the VHA Supply Network strategy.
Working within a team, this individual will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting data to understand purchasing patterns across multiple healthcare systems creating and negotiating a common contracting strategy to achieve market competitive pricing based on aggregate purchasing volume and commitment.
The individual will also have the responsibility to communicate and negotiate identified savings opportunities across multiple audiences including internal teams, suppliers and member network groups and therefore must possess strong ability to effectively communicate in a succinct precise manner to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Review hospital purchases and contract information to create a common contracting plan for multiple healthcare systems.
Understand supply chain costs and identify opportunities to reduce costs through standardization of product and purchases across multiple suppliers.
Assist in facilitation of group discussions, brainstorming and contracting strategy development.
Present identified savings opportunities to hospital formed committees and task force teams Collaborate across multiple teams at various levels within multiple organizations Act as the contracting agent and negotiate enhancements and custom agreements Create innovative tools to assist in contract implementation supporting product conversion Travel up to 25 Qualifications Bachelor's degree, either in business or health care related field preferred MBA, a plus 5 to 7 years progressive experience in contracting / clinical in a health care or supplier organization Skilled negotiator with healthcare suppliers Strong project management skills Past experience in development of contracting and utilization strategies Desire to work in a high profile consulting position Ability to function in a fast paced, dynamic environment and deliver results Ability to manage conflict resolution Ability to interpret data and information to evaluate business opportunities VHA, UHC, Novation and Provista are committed to equal employment opportunity.
