3rd Shift LPN / Occupational Health Nurse Job in Henderson, Kentucky US
HR Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full time 3rd Shift LPN / OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE for our client in the Henderson, KY area.
Responsibilities include the following: Take patient's vital signs, treat wounds, and evaluate physical condition of patient.
Responds to all occupational and non-occupational medical emergencies must display good nursing judgment at all times and call EMS as needed.
Contact Physician and hospital to arrange for further medical treatment when needed.
Work with nursing staff and third party Healthcare Advocate to develop and promote employee programs such as health education, accident prevention, alcohol abuse counseling, curtailment of smoking, and weight control regimens.
Explain FMLA, disability and medical leave programs to Team Members, in addition to completing necessary paperwork for these programs.
Maintain team member medical files, FMLA files and disability filesComplete Workers Compensation paperwork and file claims with carrier Update Workers Compensation files after each appointment or procedure.
Assist with tracking restricted and loss days for work related injuriesCollecting urine and/or hair samples for drug screening purposes following Chain of Command with no variances.
Track DOT physicals and licensure keeping them current at all times.
Conduct monthly inventory of medical suppliesStock supplies at the end of every shiftTake out Biohazard bags as neededPrepare Biohazard waste for pick up on a biweekly basisSchedule and Conduct Hearing TestsEvaluates medical conditions of new and existing team members.
Coordinates pre-employment and return to work physical examination processes.
Monitors medical changes and fitness for work through audiometric, drug and alcohol, hypertension and pulmonary function testing programs.
Prepares and maintains medical records.
REQUIREMENTS: Kentucky Nursing LicenseAudiometric Testing Certification preferred, Current PPD, Current in AED/CPR and first aid.2 Year degree in Nursing LPN and 3+ years of experience in medical field with Occupational experience preferredAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Working knowledge of State OSHA and workers compensation guidelines; working knowledge of FMLA regulations and policies.
Must possess intermediate computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft office applications.
