101087: Information Assurance Test Engineer Job in Indian Head 20640, Maryland US
We are currently seeking an Information Assurance Test Engineer 3 to support multiple tasks on the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) contract in Indian Head, MD. We currently have an opening for an Information Assurance Test Engineer 3 where the incumbent serves as an Information Assurance Assessor for the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) providing support to the Global Command and Control System IA effort, Defense Interoperability Certification Exercises, and other assessment tasks.
Responsible for evaluating systems based on Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guidance, Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment, Wireless Assessments, and advise customers on mitigation techniques for configuration and application of enhancements to operating systems and application software.
The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position
1. MUST HAVE A CURRENT/ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE2.
Bachelor's of Science degree AND a minimum of 8 years of related experience (an additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement)3 The successful candidate must obtain Information Assurance Technician Level II certification, IAW DoD 8570.
01-M, within six months of being hired4 Must have proven experience in writing technical documents to include test plans/reports, test procedures, etc5 Must have above average Microsoft Office skills to include MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook6 Must have above average communication skills (both verbal and written)7 Must have working knowledge of current Information Assurance policies, procedures, and techniques8 Must be able to travel (up to 50%), sometimes on short notice.
Experience in the following areas are considered assets for this position
1. Current/active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance2 Demonstrated experience in CISSP or Security +3.
Experience in wireless and network analysis tools.
