.NET Developer (State Department) Job in State Department 20521, District of Columbia US
TEKsystems has partnered with a government integrator to identify a secret cleared .NET Developer to support the State Department in Washington, DC. for a 6 months contract to permanent opportunity.
The candidate must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance and will be processed up to the Top Secret level.
Job Duties: Candidates for this position will work in a team atmosphere to develop custom .NET solutions including but not limited to web parts and web services, work with SQL to modernize databases and user interfaces, gather requirements from customers and create documentation to support the project effort.
Responsibilities: Performs functional analyses to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.
Identifies resources required for each task.
Applies technology and process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies/principles and business process modernization projects.
Applies activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods and performance measurement techniques.
Assists in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
Develops and applies enterprise-wide information models for use in designing and building integrated, shared software and database management systems.
Required Experience: 4 years of C# and Visual Basic.NET programming languages SQL 2000Experience generating reports from databases and experience with Microsoft Exchange integration is optionalDesired Experience: Familiarity with the SharePoint object model and developing custom web parts and implementing web services is highly desirable.
SQL 2005Education Desired: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or computer science-related technical field plus 4 years of work experience related to C# and/or Visual Basic.NET programming languages.
