(Greater Boston Area) P/T SAT Teachers - Great for college students or graduates seeking P/T work! Job in Boston 02101, Massachusetts US
Kaplan has hundreds of SAT and ACT classes running between now and June all over Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire! Classes meet in the evenings and on weekends and are a perfect complement to a nine to five or student schedule.
Teach anywhere from 3 to 25 hours per week.
Job Benefits Include: Free or discounted classes through Kaplan Test Prep, Kaplan University and more after 2 years of employment Paid training Continual access to professional development materials and trainings The pleasure of working with motivated, enthusiastic high school students and setting them up for success on their standardized tests Basic Responsibilities Include: Teaching SAT and ACT material to groups of 5-18 students Checking homework Mentoring students and providing guidance Attendance tracking and entering Job Requirements Include: Test scores in the 90th percentile from within the past 5 years (applicants without these scores are still encouraged to apply retests are available through the Kaplan office) Enthusiasm for education and working with students (previous teaching experience a plus but not required) Individuals who can engage and motivate their classrooms Individuals with a desire to develop themselves professionally and improve their teaching and presentation skills Please note: There are limited classes directly in the Boston area.
Reliable transportation to cities and towns outside of Boston is generally required.
