PLX has completed its newest design on leading edge 40nm process technology to develop a variety of new solutions including PCI Express? (PCIe?) Gen 3 switches.PLX is working with leading storage OEMs on its third generation of consumer NAS SoC solutions.

PLX doubled overall performance of the previous generation of NAS products by optimizing acceleration functions including encryption, hashing, RAID, audio, VoIP, and routing.We hire highly talented individuals who will continue PLX leadership in delivering products and solutions that help customers achieve their business goals.

Summary of PositionThis is a key marketing role reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, which will be focused on supporting the company's Enterprise Switching and Connectivity product families.

This individual will be the corporate champion and owner of his/her particular product line and will be viewed as the "expert" for all information on the product.

This individual will take ownership for one of PLX's exciting new PCI Express products.

The individual will get involved with all aspects of product marketing including partnerships, evangelism, collateral, field interaction, training, white papers, trade shows, industry consortiums, etc. This person will interact daily with the rest of marketing, sales, applications, engineering, and operations.

This is a highly visible position within the company, with significant executive level interaction, both formally and informally.

Responsibilitieso Drive the business.

Maximize revenue and margino Project management and coordination by working with cross functional teams to resolve product and customer issueso Pro-actively work with the field on current and new opportunities.

This includes keeping in close and frequent contact with the appropriate sales manager and FAEs, building customer relationships and loyalty and looking for ways to help close major opportunities.

o Coordinate datasheets, app notes, errata lists, and other key collateralo Identify and articulate market trends and usage models.

Understand, document, and explain how our products will fit into specific target markets.

o Define new products, create MRD and work with Advanced Technology Group (ATG) to define the ?complete' product, including H/W and S/Wo Assist with the launch of new products into the marketplace.

This includes working with MarCom to articulate our messages, working with the press, providing training to the field, etc.o Understand competitive products through directed research, teardowns, first-hand analysis etc. position PLX products against competition, create easy to understand collateral for saleso Identify, pursue and maintain key relationships with targeted strategic partnerso Represent the product at trade shows, conferences, industry forums and standrda bodies and to the analyst and press community Required ExperienceKnowledge, Requirements and Skillso Creative individual who loves to take ownership and create solid solutionso Driven self-starter; clear, logical thinker; bright and energetic; attention to detail; with a desire to advance his/her career at an accelerated pace based on performanceo Solid work ethic and strong time management that gets things done, on time, every timeo Skill set and personality must be well balanced between solid business/marketing sense & the technical requirements of the job.o Must be exceptionally strong with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and should have excellent presentation skills (written and oral)o System level experience in Server, Storage, Communications and Embedded markets with experience in PCI Express technology desirableo Ability to work cross-functionally within a relatively flat organizationo 1 to 4 years minimum experience in semiconductor marketing, applications, or saleso Approximately 25% travel required Required EducationBSEE or equivalent, MBA is a plus.
