Marketing Director Job Description: Dynamic marketing position involving multiple titles: The Family Handyman, American Woodworker, Backyard Living, Birds & Blooms among others * Requires proficiency in building multi-media programs that include: magazine, newsstand-only products, books, online, radio, special advertising sections, custom publishing and more * Responsible for responding to RFPs, buildingproposals and powerpoint presentations, as well as interpreting research for client proposals * Good writing and creative skills to create and communicate custom advertising programs in a compelling way * Need strong project management skills; adept at negotiation, organization and communicating with internal and external partners and clients while meeting strict deadlines * Event management skills to contribute to organization and execution of consumer, trade and client entertaining events * Strong multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail * Strong financial skills; understanding of budgets, pricing and profitability * Great team-oriented attitude and willingness to try new things and contribute to the team's overall success * Position reports to Publisher Qualifications: 10-12 years in marketing at media and/or advertising company; strong powerpoint, word, excel skills; design software a plus (Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) APPLY HERE Reader's Digest offers an excellent benefits package and professional growth opportunities.
