The position is located in Austin, Texas.

The Marketing Communications Manager is a member of the SII Communications department who will help to create, develop and execute marketing communications activities, which could be external and internal communications.

This person will help manage the relationship between the communications department and the business units product and marketing management, field sales organization, and other related functions.

Essential Duties:
The Marketing Communications Manager will assist in the support, creation and implementation of integrated communication plans and strategies for the ITS business unit designed to raise awareness, drive sales and increase market share.

Emphasis on web/internet presence, sales collateral, trade shows, customer meetings, sales support activities, advertising, media relations, direct mail/marketing, market research and other marketing communications tactics.


Contribute to the design preparation of all literature, creating copy, selecting graphical elements in accordance with Siemens guidelines.


Assist in the preparation of case studies, application articles, and other collateral pieces.


Liaise with central support functions and counterparts at MO HQ in Sacremento and in Atlanta (Employee Communications, PR, Trade Shows, Graphics, Online Communications) as needed to obtain support or collaboration.


As needed, assist in the preparation of print or online advertising materials.


Assist in the maintenance of the ITS Website.


Assist in the preparation and monitoring of metrics to measure the success of the marketing communications output.


Manage developing and monitoring marketing communications activity budgets.


Contribute to the SII Communications team on cross divisional activities as required.


Assist BU and Division management on creating, planning, and executing customer meetings and events as required.


Provide communications support to sales, channel, agents as required.

Skills and Experience Required:
5+ years experience B2B marketing communications required.


Bachelor's degree studies in business, communications, journalism, PR or marketing.


Ability to understand and thrive in a technical environment.


Ability to create, adapt, and edit copy/content for marketing activities (online, advertising, brochures, trade shows, etc.).
Excellent project management, skills, experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.


Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadline-oriented projects simultaneously.


Proven understanding of online/social media environment.


Proven ability to work in a highly matrixed organization.

General Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in leading as well as collaborating within a cross-functional team.


Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships (internal/external).


Business acumen as demonstrated by the ability to organize, clarify, and communicate complex or ambiguous ideas effectively to various internal constituents.


Ability to distill communications content into effective presentations for executive management, sales force, and others.


Capability to influence with authority and poses strong problem solving skills.


Strong written and verbal communications skills.


Knowledge and experience in the industrial marketplace is a plus.
