Graphic DesignerDescription Purpose: Works directly with marketing to strategize, conceptualize and execute marketing materials.
Creates graphic design solutions that reflect the strategy and the brand.
Requires marketing knowledge to guide clients toward effective solutions.
Must be exceptionally organized, self motivated, deadline-oriented and an effective at communicating.
Must also have ability to confront challenges with resourceful, practical thinking.
Uses advanced computer and photo art direction skills to accomplish these tasks.Key Responsibilities: · Designs marketing materials to effectively communicate product information and brand Boston Scientific in the marketplace (eg.
Brochures, posters, educational materials, website screens, giveaways, etc.)· Interfaces with editors and marketing staff to build timelines.
· Uses sophisticated design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to execute ideas and prepare files for both electronic and print usage.
Must have technical knowledge of inter- and intra-net issues as well.
· Must have basic print product knowledge in order to design, select paper and prepare press-ready files.
Attends press runs to ensure print materials are reproduced according to Boston Scientific quality standards.
· Must have basic knowledge of photography and the process of video filming/editing as they relate to producing materials.
Attends photo shoots and video filming/editing sessions.
Knowledge of video editing software a plus.
· Participates in cross-functional brainstorming and presentation sessions.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
· Must have strong prioritization skills to effectively manage project activity.Has a strong work ethic with a can-do attitude.
Quality Policy: Fully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects of the incumbent's work and by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements (including but not limited to being current on all training requirements for the incumbent's position and documenting that training).
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree plus 2-3 years of related graphic design work experience with a good understanding of marketing strategies and procedures.
Working knowledge and basic application of business concepts and practices.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator required.
Knowledge of Adobe Premeire, AfterEffects, Flash and Final Cut Pro a plus!
