Category Manager
Category Manager The Category Manager is the lead on developing programs for the verticals he/she has responsibility for, across all properties and products IACAS represents.
The Category Manager builds solid relationships with the Sales department and Site Relationship Business Managers, and acts as point person for questions and concerns related to their verticals.
The Category Manager manages all day-to-day operations associated with building standard category programs and larger, more integrated offerings on IACAS represented sites.
The Category Manager works alongside vertically -aligned sales teams and site specific Business Manager to ensure clients receive programs containing a full suite of IACAS offerings by attending meetings with sellers and sites.
The Category Manager contributes to IACAS' development within the industry by promoting, advocating and communicating internally/externally a thorough understanding of the online advertising industry, our clients objectives and strategies, and IACAS market position and opportunities.
The Category Manager is responsible for ensuring his/her categories have standard PPT templates created, and generic case studies built to support the selling efforts.
The Category Manager manages his/her categories and programs they become the owner of by successfully and proactively: o Asking the right questions and getting answers on client objectives, past performance, and successful integrations on competitors sites o Ensuring programs are built in a timely manner, o Working closely with Inventory & pricing, Site Relationships, Marketing,Product teams, and sales to identify most appropriate elements for a program, o Identifying and leveraging the use of behavioral targeting for his/her verticals, o Collaborating with vertically aligned sales teams and Site Relationship Mangers through regularly scheduled meetings to discuss opportunities, issues, and idea development, o Communicating client/campaign information and market intelligence to Sales Management.
The Category Manager maintains the flow and integrity of internal processes.
The Category Manager promotes and develops productive relationships within IACAS.
Requirements: 4-8 years experience 3+ years of online media experience Brand marketing, brand promotion, and product placement knowledge along with ability to build and price proposals and related materials for brand advertiser deals Complete understanding of ad networks and direct marketing along with CPA, CPL pricing models for email, lead gen, co-reg, and email products Ability to understand ad serving platforms and inventory mngt.
