Supervisor - System Operations-SCADA United Water provides water and wastewater services to 7 million people in the US through both municipal contract agreements and through its owned and operated utilities.

United Water is a wholly owned subsidiary of Paris-based Suez, an international leader in water and wastewater services.
Supervisor - System Operations - SCADA JOB DESCRIPTION: Utilizing SCADA system, supervise the control, monitoring, and regulation of United Water New York's water supply and distribution system.
Plan work schedules, maintain records.
Support management of SCADA-related capital projects; responsible for repair and purchase of SCADA-related instrumentation, maintaining hydraulic modeling and energy management, produce reports for tracking trends and performance; programming on computer software; archive and backup data.
Track and report leaks, help prepare bid documents, monitor facility security systems; revise or develop operating procedures as needed, and insure regulatory compliance.
Responsible for lease lines, T1 lines, router hardware, etc. including programming and repairs.
Cover supervisory positions in Pumping, Construction, & Distribution as assigned.
24/7 shift coverage; emergency standby as assigned; possible overtime.
QUALIFICATIONS: HS diploma.
Must hold or obtain within 12 months a NYS Distribution System License (Grade D) and a Grade II A Water Treatment Certification.
Understanding of hydraulics essential.
Proven supervisory, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, ability to exercise good judgment.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
