Strategic Sourcing Manager, Professional Services
Strategic Sourcing Manager, Professional Services As the Strategic Sourcing Manager for Professional Services, your primary responsibility will be managing supplier relationships and the identification and realization of cost savings and service improvement opportunities across marketing, commercial print and promotional products and services plus other professional services categories.
Specifically, you will: Perform sourcing activities for corporate organization products and services to include spend analysis Perform market analysis and develop category sourcing strategies Negotiate contracts and develop and execute implementation and compliance plans Lead the development of policies related to category usage to drive savings Measure, manage, and report on service levels of key providers Manage and work with 3rd parties supporting the sourcing and operations of these purchases Manages $75-100 Million in annual spend of all company locations Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Management, Operations/Purchasing or Accounting preferred; MBA or other graduate degree is a plus CPIM/CPM or equivalent desirable 5-7 years of progressive experience in business Experience is required in sourcing Marketing, commercial print, and promotional/branded items, preferable for a large service company Experience in a minimum of two of the following categories is required: benefits, consultants, contingent staffing, advertising, travel, financial services, or legal services Background/experience in spend analysis and sourcing; proven results in reducing costs Experience with e-Sourcing applications a plus Experience in establishing, communicating and managing Supplier Performance Metrics (cost/timeliness/quality); vendor relationship management experience Proven ability to drive business results; knowledge/experience with cost saving metrics Track record of success in strategic sourcing An extremely capable negotiator and hands-on United Rentals, Inc. is the largest equipment rental company in the world, with an integrated network of more than 750 rental locations in 48 states, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
