We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to work in our New York City Headquarters.
Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies throughout the firm with an emphasis on cost reduction, quality, and efficiency.
Takes a leadership role in sourcing activities, contract development, and procure-to-pay process enhancement.
Duties and Accountabilities: Assist the Director of Procurement in planning, organizing and managing the procurement function, as well as all supplier management activities including contract negotiation and to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Manage core procure-to-pay processes such as requisitions and purchase orders, procurement card, and various e-Procurement based activities, etc. to insure that goods and services are acquired at the most competitive price while ensuring high levels of customer service to internal clients.
Manage and enhance the Firm contract administration system including establishing policies and procedures to support it. Observe and coach staff in the performance of their duties.
Qualifications: Four-year degree in Business or Finance with a graduate degree in business (MBA) desirable.
Professional designation as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) (preferred).
Membership in the Institute of Supply Management, formally National Association of Purchasing Management (preferred).
Minimum of five years progressive purchasing and / or sourcing management experience in a corporate procurement environment resulting in bottom line savings and efficiency improvements.
Strong individual negotiating experience for goods and services with an emphasis on information technology and facilities.
