Specimen Processing Supervisor

Within this integral role, you will supervise the Specimen Processing Department in our busy laboratory.
Specific responsibilities include managing the workflow and processes in the specimen management department in a busy production environment, as well as, managing the quality and productivity performance of individual department members.
Additional responsibilities will include: - Adhering to Quest Diagnostics and local QA / QC policies - Participating in Six Sigma processes - Active involvement in laboratory and department initiatives that support company values and goals - Manage the department budget; prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports Qualifications include: - High School Graduate; BS degree preferred - Knowledge of lab processing and lab environment a plus - Experience in a high production/manufacturing environment - PC skills to include basic word and excel - Must be able to work weekends on a rotating basis.
