Programmers/Developers Summit Technologies, Inc has several immediate Full Time opportunities for Programmers/Developers with enterprise level experience located in Meriden, CT. The client is a defense contractor for the US Federal government, and candidates must be U.
S.
Citizens with potential to obtain US Government security clearance.
Summary: Programmers/Developers will be involved in the development (specification, design, implementation, testing and documentation) of software for instrument control and data analysis.
Education: - BS in related technical/scientific discipline: Physics, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Six + years related work experience may substitute for formal education.
- Nuclear background a plus.
Description: - Design and create programming specifications for instrument control and data analysis functions - Design and implement software to meet required specifications - Perform maintenance on existing software products - Testing on software products (quality, performance, ease of use) - Recommend improvements to existing software products - Generate and maintain software documentation - Provide general product support to internal support organization Skills: - Extensive knowledge of programming languages: C/C++/C#/DCOM /.
NET/ASP/ SQL) - Strong knowledge of software engineering practices (design techniques, programming standards, data structures, etc) - Ability to work independently or as a member of a development team - Good understanding of computer hardware architecture - Strong written and verbal communication skills Previous Experience: - 3-4 years prior experience in the development of software for instrument control The client requires a background investigation, drug testing and professional reference checks.
A drug test may also be required.
Reliable transportation to the primary site is expected.
