Click To ViewPRODUCTION SUPERVISORBuilding upon 80 years of innovation, LORD Corporation, a privately held corporation with over $600 million in sales, develops technologies for demanding applications within the aerospace, automotive and general industrial markets.Our West 12th Street Facility in Erie, Pennsylvania has an immediate need for a Production Supervisor in its Post Bond Machine Department.
- Studies production schedules and estimates hour requirements for completion of job assignment- Interprets company policies and enforces work rules and safety regulations- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality or product- Maintains time and production records- Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials and/or equipmentConfers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
This position will be responsible for direct supervision of a machining operation.
This position has primary responsibility for schedule achievement, and participation in improving manufacturing processes and quality.
Duties also include labor contract administration; familiarity with the materials process, associated testing and assembly utilized in production, and facilitating a lean manufacturing environment.
Position falls within the FAA initial and random drug testing.
Successful candidate will have an Associate degree.
Ability to maintain proficiency in the production operations field and related areas through formal and self-study; participation on cross-functional improvement teams, special assignments, etc.; effective communication and leadership skills; provide direction and inspire teamwork; working knowledge of industry processes and equipment and knowledge of quality and material (MRP) systems and application in a manufacturing environment; working knowledge of machining methods and capabilities of metal working machinery.
Must be available to work all shifts.
