Job Description Position reports to DVD Packaging Shift Manager.

The 3rd shift DVD Packaging Supervisor is responsible for the productivity, quality, and training and development of as many as 100 employees by ensuring the following: Coach and audit production output and quality.

Coordinate shift needs with inventory control.

Ensures departmental and company processes, policies, and procedure are adhered to by direct reports.

Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues preventing, delaying or otherwise encumbering product flow.

Supervise and provide work direction to Lead Operators.

Direct activities of Maintenance Techs, Machine Operators, and other departmental support staff.

Communicates standards, goals, and team expectations to direct reports; updates and communicates progress of team toward meeting goals.

Ensures the timely and accurate reporting of shift progress and issues to management team.

Works with peers to assess areas of improvement and recommend solutions within department and facilityResponsible for department cleanliness, product organization, safety and security.

Manage employee concerns including time and attendance reporting and discipline.

Participates in company continuous improvement program; motivates and mentors team members to participate in continuous improvement.

Must be able to report to work at least 30 before shift start.

Must work according to business needs.

This includes working variable shifts, rotating and/or filling in coverage, and working overtime, especially during peak season.

Education Level/Experience Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university; or 3-5 years supervisory experience and/or training.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Previous experience supervising in a distribution or manufacturing environment highly preferred.

Previous experience utilizing Lean manufacturing tools and principles preferred.

Ability to read and write routine correspondence and reports.

Ability to communicate effectively using with employees at all levels in the organization.

Demonstrated customer focus, deadline sensitivity, organization skills, flexibility, relationship building skills, problem solving and demonstrated support for new ideas, suggestions, and changes.

Candidate must have experience utilizing production management software.

Experience utilizing time and attendance software programs preferred; Kronos experience helpful.

Must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
