Mechanical Design Engineer
Mechanical Design Engineer, Aerospace Exceptional opportunity for the right person.
If you: Like to have control over your projects and enjoy seeing your work go from initial design to final product, can interface at all levels (customer, supplier, management), and are able to present your work in a professional manner, then this is a position for you. Job Summary: Create new concepts for products: Layout Engineering analysis Design closure Do top-level technology trade studies as applicable to new concepts Present technical results to customers.
Brainstorm for new and creative approaches while understanding how production design and manufacturing requirements will be met. You will have total project ownership from proposal through qualification and the responsibility/accountability that goes with it. Requirements: Strong fundamentals in hydraulics, actuators (linear and rotary), flow control valves, machine design, and seal & support systems, as related to aerospace components.
Knowledge of standards and specifications: ASME, ANSI, ASTM, Military and Federal related to product design.
High proficiency in CAD (design and drafting).
Preferably PRO/E software.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of Configuration Management, basic engineering drawings, GD&T.
Education/Experience: Minimum five years design experience with hydro-mechanical and electromechanical components.
BS in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (Masters would be a plus) If you are ready to hit the ground running with this exciting opportunity, submit your resume today.
