Materials And Logistics Manager
Job Function: This role is accountable for the development and execution of materials and logistics strategy.
The objective is to insure the Materials/Logistics areas have the resources, organization, technologies, processes, and systems which are effective in meeting business requirements and customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities: > To develop and execute the short and long term strategies and systems for optimizing: - Demand planning and machine scheduling - Storeroom MRO purchasing and asset management - Capital purchasing - Warehousing & Shipping > To insure the accuracy of all warehousing/shipping/receiving activities and transactions > To manage our demand planning and machine scheduling function to effectively utilize our lines, maintain targeted inventories, and meet customer volume demands To lead the commercial negotiations for key project and MRO purchasing; driving for high value purchases and supplier relationships > To manage our material assets arid stores; insuring effective use and control > To drive continuous improvement and cost savings across the entire supply-chain > To develop and mentor the Purchasing/Stores Manager, the Warehouse/Shipping Manager, and the Operational Planners > To be an active member of the Site Leadership Team, sharing in the management of the site To support the organizational environment, that encourages people to grow both as individuals and within teams Experience and Education
1. Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Materials/Logistics, Business Accountin
2. A minimum of five years experience in a leadership role in the Materials and Logistics field.
