Manager Manufacturing Finance
Manager, SAP, Lotus Notes General Summary: Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing Finance this role will provide critical financial information and analysis for making strategic business, financial and resource allocation decisions.
Will also identify best practices, and be responsible for identifying opportunities for savings.
Accountabilities: Identify and recommend the best practices to Sr. Financial and Operations management in a multiple plant network.
Evaluate, recommend and implement cost savings opportunities.
Analyze month-end manufacturing efficiency variances in a standard cost environment.
Analyze and report on actual vs. forecasted spending and determine corrective action requirements.
Update current spending projection.
Provide financial justification for significant capital expenditures.
In conjunction with the eight Plant Controllers.
Job Complexity (provide several examples of typical work related problems that this position is expected to resolve): Determine risks and opportunities in plant capital project submissions and make appropriate recommendations.
Review internal financial controls identify weaknesses and recommend corrective procedures (SOX implementation).
Serve as a Project Manager for assessing supply chain improvement proposals (work with outside consultants).
Assist in the preparation of the annual operation plan doe the manufacturing group.
Provide decision support for strategic business initiatives.
Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job) Finance/Accounting degree; MBA preferred 8-10 years experience; ideally with consumer products/manufacturing experience Strong technical, analytical and organizational skills Solid interpersonal skills Strong project management skills Detail orientation and good time management skills Strong business orientation enabling identification of opportunities for improving financial performance Financial and business leadership.
Ensuring assets and resources are being used efficiently Hands-on and self-directed.
Comfortable in an environment requiring day-to-day involvement in the details while remaining cognizant of the company's long term objectives Strong knowledge of Supply Chain systems and processes Good computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes, and SAP Potential to move into other financial management roles
