Logistics Buyer
We are seeking a US Transport and Logistics Buyer to join a fabulous consumer products company in Norwalk! The ideal candidate must be able to complete the following tasks with minimal supervision.
Identification, prioritization and capturing of cost savings opportunities with business functions.
Develop sourcing strategies prepare recommendations and effectively negotiate and implement supply agreements while ensuring the Procurement Process and best practices are being followed with all initiatives.
Leverage procurement synergies by working closely with the Global and Zone IT and Procurement team.
Support Global sourcing strategies from a North American perspective including negotiations and development of zone contracts.
Lead and develop innovative team solutions that fit business requirements.
Develop Procurement buyer skill set and increase cost savings potential through the creation of an e-sourcing plan and use of e-sourcing tools.
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree and have a minimum 5 years experience with progressively more senior positions in either Procurement or in a business role with considerable interaction with suppliers.
