Compensation Senior Consultant
Responsible for developing, implementing and administering global compensation policies and programs which support company objectives and local practices.
Provides HR and business management with ongoing consultation and develops processes and tools which facilitate the administration of effective, equitable, and compliant programs.
Also ensures adherence to applicable governmental regulations.
Accountabilities include: · Provides consulting and collaborative support to the business managers and leaders in achieving company objectives.
· Implements and communicates compensation policies and programs.
· Reviews and approves proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices.
· Reviews and approves requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment.
· Reviews, interprets, and approves pay practices and procedures in analyzing complex and diverse situations.
· Participates with other senior managers to influence, develop and execute all compensation and other HR strategic programs and policies that affect immediate operations and may also have business-wide impact.
· Presents high level of professional individual contribution.
· Prepares and monitors division-wide pay planning processes.
· Reviews and analyzes compensation programs to ensure competitiveness to attract, retain and motivate employees.
· Provides regular support activity for multiple large client groups and ensures proper interpretation and application of compensation policies.
· Uses latitude within professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve advanced problems.
· Drives strategic assignments independent of supervision.
· Possesses and applies expert knowledge of compensation to the completion of assignments.
· Responsible for the formulation of objectives and strategies to meet outlined goals where independent thought and judgment is required for determining appropriate course of action.
· Uses advanced influencing skills to drive project completion.
Requirements: - Advanced management and exchange skills, gathering, processing and reporting data.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
- Authoritative understanding of security and confidentiality.
10 years experience in Human Resources, with at least 8 in compensation - Expert analytical skills.
- Expert understanding of job design, content, analysis, and market pricing systems.
- Expert knowledge of principles and practices of reward systems, with expert knowledge of a specialty area.
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS, PC software and spreadsheet applications.
