Assistant Buyer
Nautica, one of the leading Lifestyle Sportswear Brands in the U.
S., and a subsidiary of VF Corporation the world's largest apparel manufacturer, is conducting a search to fill an Assistant Buyer in our Kids department.
Ideal candidate will be responsible for sales tracking and analysis, markdown proposals, stock level recommendations, and purchase order entry.
Assistant buyer will maintain purchase order logs, track delivery status and assist buyer in assortment planning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist buyer with the development of seasonal merchandise assortments that meet the needs of both the outlet and specialty store customer base Perform detailed sales analysis; identify and react to trends Present markdown strategies based on trend and update markdown logs Maintain purchase orders from point of issue to date entry Track shipments and maintain an order report Work closely with store analyst to ensure inventory levels are managed by store and by classification Maintain sample library Individual should have assistant buying experience.
Must have excellent communication skills and strong computer skills with proficiency in Word and Excel.
Qualified candidate must be extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task.
