Job Details Seeking Sr. Consultant with strong Business and/or Operations Strategy and methodology experience to consult in IBM's Distribution Practice area, specifically focusing on Travel & Transportation service offering.

Will deliver high level business and/or operations strategy consulting offerings to major clients such in the hotel, railroad/trucking, large container shipping, express carriers, airline industry.

The consultant will gather facts (primary and secondary data), analyzing the client's business drawing conclusions, preparing final reports, and giving strategy presentations.

This role assists clients to determine their business issues and recommend solutions to drive business value.

Will possess in-depth consulting skills and business knowledge aligned to business objectives, processes to analyze the client's needs, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate solutions.

Experience should include related experience in: operations and process re-engineering (Profit Improvement, Rapid Process Change, and Six Sigma), product development (Product Innovation Management, Design for Six Sigma) and infrastructure cost reduction (Outsourcing Strategy and Governance, Shared Services).

BUSINESS STRATEGY: experience must include: Experience working with clients to identify and respond to new business opportunities and challenges, strong experience working with clients in T&T industry to determine where and how to compete in the marketplace.

Our experience includes growth and customer strategies, strategic merger and acquisition strategies and integration, and business/enterprise transformation and strategy formulation.

All candidates must be able to self-direct and work effectively with othersat all levels of an organization, with team members, senior leaders, and clients.

TRAVEL & LOCATIONS: Since the majority of our consulting work is done at our client sites, this position requires 80-100% travel.
