TSS (Technical Sales Specialist)
Job Details We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist.
Responsible for engaging customers, developing and presenting software migrations solutions, and closing qualified deals for AMS server consolidations and application / DB migration content.
Work with all lead sources to ensure that prospects are handled in a timely manner; promotion of extended AMS capabilities to the customer.
This role is responsible for the development and sales of IBM technical solutions directly to customers.
They lead multi-national, multi-discipline teams of subject-matter experts.
They use a combination of IBM and non-IBM offerings, services, labor, assets, hardware, and software to meet client business requirements.
They orchestrate the development of complex, multi-year, custom solutions and associated cost cases.
The directions they establish are the foundation of IBM's solution and heavily influence sales, human resources, and contract and delivery strategies for the engagement.
They are required to anticipate and develop and define innovative services solutions which match the customer's and IBM's tactical and strategic requirements.
Workplace M-Mobile/Telecommuters Division Global Business Services: 07-IGS IBM GLOBAL SERVICES Desired Skills In addition to experience developing and presenting software solutions and closing deals for customers, must have 4 years experience in pSeries - or - one or more of the following: HP-UNIX, Sun Solaris, MVS/VM(OS390, z/OS), Tru64 UNIX, Linux, WinNT/2000 hardware architecture.
Since most of our work is performed at client sites, this position requires up to 100% travel.
It is recommended that new hires into the BCS US practice must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the following cites: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Hartford, CT; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; Minneapolis, MN; New York City, NY and surrounding area; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Tulsa, OK; and Washington, DC and surrounding area.
