Management and Outside Sales Development: Confidential
A leading school uniform company is seeking a Branch Manager for their Burbank, CA location.
The Branch Manager position is full-time (includes occasional weekends).
The position is cyclical in that during the school year the concentration is primarily on outside sales and during the summer (back to school season) the concentration is primarily inside on store operations.
Broad areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following: - Penetrating and expanding new markets in the assigned sales territory through networking, cold calling, and drop in visits - Developing and maintaining favorable relationships with new and existing clients - Sustaining and renewing client contracts - Ensuring that goods and service consistently meet client needs - Forecasting store staffing needs, recruiting, training, and scheduling - Developing strategies that improve customer service, drive in-store sales, and increase profitability - Motivating retail staff through working example and ensuring best practices are always followed Position Requirements: - Minimum 4+ years outside sales experience - Strong retail management skills - Exceptionally friendly and positive attitude - English literacy, verbal and written (bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply) - Strong organizational skills and good attention to detail a must - Commitment to meeting goals and deadlines - MS Access and MS Excel software proficiency desired - Ability to frequently travel within the state and occasionally travel out of state - Must have a reliable vehicle (mileage paid) Compensation and Benefits: - Compensation is salary (commensurate to experience) plus commission.
There will be a 90 day probation period which comes with an employee evaluation at its end; subsequent evaluations are annual.
Wage increases are based on performance / promotion.
- Full time employees who work a minimum of 32 hours per week are eligible for medical and dental insurance after 6 months of employment - Full time employees are awarded 8 paid holidays per year after 90 days of employment - Full Time employees are awarded 15 paid personal days each year after their first year of employment - Employees who are at least 21yrs old and who work more than 1000 hours per year are eligible to enroll in the company 401k plan after their first year of employment
