Columbia Memorial Hospital is looking for a charismatic and exceptional leader for our Chief of Clinical Operations.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and as part of the Senior Management Team, the Chief of Clinical Operations will support Columbia Memorial Hospital in continuing to meet its mission by ensuring that programs and operations are structured, function and are delivered in a way that consistently adds value to the work of our employees and the development of health care in a changing environment.

This extraordinary individual must have documented successes in leadership, management and strategic planning.

Proven success in executive level management is essential.

At the discretion of the Board of Trustees this individual may be considered as a succession candidate for the CEO upon his retirement.

The CCO is expected to operate on both strategic and functional levels in order to develop and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

He or she will assist achieving and exceeding established operational goals, possess knowledge of marketing principles and have the ability to implement them effectively.

The Chief of Clinical Operations will be accountable for the overall success of all ancillary services, facilitate and oversee patient safety, quality monitoring and clinical performance.

This individual will also be responsible for analyzing the external and internal environment.

Planning, implementation, management and evaluation of programs, services and policies, assigning responsibilities, analyzing and recommending resolution and monitoring results are expectations of this position.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills at the senior executive level.

This individual will have extensive personal contact with the CEO, Board of Trustees, Senior Administrative Staff, business leaders, managers and staff.

Must be able to supervise and motivate others by creating an environment of open and strong communication.

The candidate should have extensive knowledge of computer technology and the ability to use it to complete job responsibilities.

A Masters ' degree from an accredited University in a course of study specific to management, finance, economics, business administration, marketing or other related field.

Proven experience in defining and executing a strategic vision and hold excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must have knowledge of hospital program policies and procedures, JCAHO standards and appropriate Federal and State Laws and Regulations.
