The Litigation Management Paralegal is responsible for providing paralegal and operational support to the Claim Department.

Primary duties will include: · Summarizing legal documents · Performing research on all forms of case law, statutory and regulatory law, and marketplace and legal trends · Executing the administrative tasks related to litigation management · Collecting and reporting on litigation management performance metrics · Communicating both orally and in writing with Chubb's panel firms · Drafting correspondences and preparing presentations · Establishing and maintaining the units electronic and paper filing systems The Paralegal position offers the candidate the opportunity to experience the internal working of Chubbs Claim organization and deal with significant issues in a corporate, legal and business environment.

Competencies/Technical Skills needed include: · Highly motivated and seasoned individual with an ability to provide paralegal support for the Litigation Management Unit of the Claim Department, representing all lines of the insurance business.

· Candidate should have some knowledge of the property & casualty insurance business.

· Knowledge of the civil litigation procedure and discovery rules/ practice is a plus.

· The candidate must be able to perform computer based legal research together with Internet based research on industry and topical issues.

· Candidate must possess strong technology skills in such applications as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and strong general market research skills using the internet, be able to organize, maintain and periodically update the Units file materials and interface with outside counsel.

· The candidate must possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Both written and oral communications must be articulate, concise and in-depth.

· Candidate must be able to effectively present results of research in both written memoranda and through oral presentations/communications.

· The Candidate must demonstrate the ability to serve as a key technical resource and collaborate with executives and peers on administrative issues.

· Candidate must demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

· Candidate must be able to multi-task and work autonomously in a results-driven environment.

· It is essential that the candidate be a team-player.

· Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines on a timely basis together while coordinating assignments received from various business units.

· The candidate must be highly self motivated, possess a high degree of initiative and have the ability to work independently.

Education: College graduate with paralegal certificate or equivalent an
